OVERVIEW:
Research In Motion's BlackBerry Curve 8900, better known as the Javelin, is an upcoming mid-range smartphone with full QWERTY keyboard and 480 x 360 screen. Unlike the BlackBerry Bold, the Javelin lacks 3G support, with EDGE data the fastest available. Outside areas with EDGE reception, the Javelin supports data connections over WiFi networks, and can make and recieve calls using UMA, saving the user of minutes. Like most recent BlackBerrys, the Javelin will sport a mini-trackball for pointer control and webpage navigation. Powered by a 512MHz processor, the smartphone has 256MB on-board flash, with expansion available via microSD support.
