Connectivity
The E830 GOLD’s USB 1.1 facilitates fast and easy data transfers whilst Bluetooth 2.0 provides faster wireless connections to peripherals including A2DP/AVRCP headsets and BPP mobile printing. WAP 2.0 connects the mobile to useful internet content and JAVA 2.0 enables enhanced graphics for games and other features. The E830 GOLD features full SMS, EMS, and MMS capabilities.
Display
Users will enjoy watching the phone’s multimedia contents showcased on the large 2” TFT display featuring brilliant 260K colour with crystal clear resolution of 176x220 pixels – perfect for displaying the photos and videos taken on the mobile. uPlus Interface
uGo, an adaptive user interface jointly developed by Samsung and Adobe, displays a
landmark picture of the city you are located in, even adjusting the picture to the time of day or night. Mobile Tracker significantly increases your chances of recovering a lost or stolen phone by sending an SMS message to a predetermined number, alerting you of when your mobile’s SIM card is changed as well as its location. uMenu is a personalized menu of shortcuts that allows direct access to your favorite functions. uSearch is an intelligent search engine capable of searching even partial entries; simply enter the first few letters of the item you wish to search and it will display all entries with those letters in it.
Other features
B&W GUI is a sophisticated new graphic user interface where only the selected item on the menu will appear in vibrant colours; the rest of the menu will remain in black and white tones. SOS Message is triggered by a one-touch button that alerts your emergency contact when you are in danger and/or in need of immediate assistance.

3D Vivid Messaging can jazz up your SMS with vivid graphics in eye-popping colour and whimsical designs. Certain keywords will translate into fun graphics that will pop onto the screen for a text message that truly comes alive.
PIM
Stay on top of your appointments and day-to-day tasks with PIM features such as Calendar, Scheduler, and To Do List. Alarm clock is available with snooze and auto switch on capabilities. Further convenient functions include Currency Converter, Calculator, Stopwatch, Countdown Timer, and Memo Book. Group and organize all your acquaintances in the 1000-entry Phone Book.
