The Panasonic TH-P50X20 50" Multisystem HD Plasma Display is a big television set. This is the one you want for your living room, family room or even a modest home theater. Yet despite its huge screen it weighs approximately 70 pounds with its stand and with the right optional equipment you can actually hang it on your wall.

This set just might produce the best television picture you've ever seen. With its Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution and 5,000,000:1 contrast ratio it starts out with some spectacular stats. But then Panasonic has added feature upon feature to improve an already excellent picture.

Pair your TH-P50X20 with a DVD or Blu-ray player that supports 24p playback and you'll watch movies at exactly the frame rate at which they were shot without "jaggies" or "judder".

Its 3-D Color Management feature improves the hue, saturation and brightness by precisely honing in on those colors that need correction while leaving others alone. The Anti-Reflective Filter keeps those vivid lifelike colors from being marred by room reflections on the screen.

In the past, plasma sets were known as energy gulpers. No more. Your TH-P50X20 uses only about half the energy similar sets used just a few years ago. Panasonic's Eco Mode helps the set save energy because of its mercury and lead free panel. Finally, your TH-P50X20 has what might be considered the ultimate energy saver. If you like to fall asleep watching late night TV, set the off timer to turn off the TV after your last program is over.
